A CUP OF JO: Paris elopement

This is lovely, but there seems to be a lot of elopement 'porn' out there these days...and I can't help but wonder if it defeats the purpose of eloping. I mean--you have what's supposed to be this private wedding ceremony, but it's recorded and then it's posted on the internet for the whole world to see and fawn over. Don't get me wrong, this video is great and if it were my wedding I'd cherish it forever and want to share it...but it's also so slick, which gives the whole thing a performative vibe. Like a regular wedding, I suppose. I love weddings, loved my own, and I love watching these videos and the photos you've been posting. But I also love the idea of a old fashioned elopement, where the ceremony is truly, really, deeply intimate and private. This kind of feels like a music video of an elopement.
